01 — What we are
West 157 is a concierge office in Chicago. We hold the standing affairs of a small number of households: the movements, the residences, the objects, and the arrangements a family should not have to consider twice.
Households come to us through households we already serve. We take on new work only when we can keep the standard the present ones are owed.
02 — How we work
One associate holds the relationship. The same voice answers the first call and every call after it.
How notes are taken, who reads them, what is never put in writing — these are settled matters, and they are the condition under which we work.
Cost is not discussed at the outset. It has never been the difficulty.
03 — What the work is not
Logistics is a capability. Access is a capability. Neither is the whole of the work.
